The Nigerian Air Force has announced its application process for the recruitment of airmen and airwomen in the year 2024. This is how to go about it!
NAF Recruitment 2024
First things first – applying for NAF recruitment 2024 requires following some crucial guidelines.
According to Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Bakari, who is the Chief of Air Staff, each applicant could only apply once.
This means that if you fill in two application forms, you will be disqualified. So carefully consider what you want before submitting your application form.
Once done with online submission, you can proceed to print out certain necessary documents which include the acknowledgment form, guardian consent letter, and local government attestation.
These forms must bear the signature of either a military officer or the chairman of your local government.
Requirements For NAF Recruitment
To be eligible, there are some criteria you need to meet:
- Citizenship: Eligible applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth. An applicant’s proof of identification may be a National Identity Card (NIN) or Bank Verification Number (BVN).
- Height Requirements: The minimum height for men is 1.66 meters, while that for women is 1.63 meters.
- Health and Fitness: Aspirants ought to have a sound body and mind without criminal records whatsoever.
An individual who is not a tradesman or woman applying should be within the age bracket of 18 and 22 years old.
If your date of birth was before September 20, 2003, unfortunately, you won’t be eligible this time around.
Also, candidates need five credit passes in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB exams, including mathematics and English language, within two sittings maximum.
On the other hand, if you want to apply as a tradesman or woman, it is slightly different since one has a range of 18–25 years old only, which means anyone born after September 20th, 2000 will not be qualified for consideration.
Besides, persons aged up to 28 years can only apply for specialisations like imam assistant, chaplaincy drivers, and auto mechanics, while those whose birthdays predate September 20th, 1997, cannot apply at all.
For some special positions like chaplain, Imam assistant, drivers and mechanics, the age limit extends to 28 years, meaning those born before September 20, 1997, cannot apply.
Educational and Skill Requirements
In order to qualify, tradesmen and women need a minimum of lower credit in ND/NCE from approved institutions, including five credits in relevant exams, as mentioned earlier.
A trade test certificate is important if you are applying for jobs such as driver, mechanic, or electrician.
Two passes in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB, including a credit in English language, are also required.
For medical professionals, an ND from a Nigerian-recognized institution with a practicing license is needed.
If you are an athlete, you will have to show NAF proof of your experience, like medals and certificates.
Application Timeline
Online registration begins on August 21st to October 2nd, 2024. Please remember to submit your application before the deadline.
The Zonal recruitment general aptitude test is going to be starting on October 8th, 2024—please keep this date in mind!
