The Bank of Agriculture (BOA), in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, is pleased to announce the launch of the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program (RHNAMP) — a transformative tractor financing and management program designed to expand access to affordable mechanization services across Nigeria.

The Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program (RHNAMP) aims to strengthen Nigeria’s food security agenda by empowering a new generation of mechanization service providers, particularly women, youth, and mechanization companies, with access to tractors and implements that can transform agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods.

Benefit For Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Program Beneficiaries

Each beneficiary will receive a fully equipped tractor, supported by access to:

  • Preventive maintenance and technical support through mechanization hubs,
  • Digital tracking via IoT technology, and
  • Flexible repayment linked to usage and income generation.

Who is Eligible To Apply

 

  1. Agro-Service Companies: Mechanization and Agro-Service Companies seeking to expand their fleet and coverage.
  2. Women Agripreneurs: Women Agripreneurs with experience and/or interest in running tractor service businesses.
  3. Youth Agripreneurs: Youth Agripreneurs with experience and/or interest in running tractor service businesses.

Eligibility Requirements

For Individual Applicants

  1. Must be a Nigerian citizen or registered agribusiness operating in the agricultural sector.
  2. Must have access to contiguous farmland or a defined farmer service cluster (minimum of 350 hectares in total aggregation per tractor).
  3. Must demonstrate the capacity to manage equipment operations.
  4. Must possess a valid business plan outlining service coverage, pricing, and expected revenue.
  5. Must provide evidence of financial capacity or equity contribution toward the lease.
  6. Must commit to regular repayment under the BoA financing model.
  7. Must agree to digital tracking and monitoring of tractor performance

For Enterprises

  1. Be a registered business operating in Nigeria.
  2. Demonstrate access to contiguous farmland or organized farmer clusters (minimum of 500 hectares within a 50km radius per tractor).
  3. Possess or commit to employing trained tractor operators and booking agents.
  4. Have an operational base or service location within an agricultural production zone.
  5. Demonstrate the capacity to manage repayments through mechanization income streams.
  6. Provide evidence of:
    • Business registration (CAC certificate) or cooperative registration documents.
    • Tax Identification Number (TIN).
    • Bank account statement or proof of financial capability.
    • Be willing to adopt a digital tracking system for monitoring tractor use and repayment.
  7. Commit to training participation for operators and technicians.
